Ms. Alli is the Co-Owner and Administrator of Rocky Mountain Enrichment. She founded RME in 2023 alongside her partner, Marty, with a shared vision of creating a homeschool enrichment program that provides exceptional educational opportunities while fostering a strong sense of community for the entire family.
Originally from Southern California, Alli began her teaching career after attending college in Buffalo, New York. She later completed her Montessori training after moving to Colorado 16 years ago. Alli holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education, is Montessori trained, holds a Gifted and Talented certification, and is a licensed teacher in Colorado, Maryland, and New York.
With experience in public, private, and Montessori education, Alli believes every child learns differently and deserves an individualized approach. She is passionate about creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. At Rocky Mountain Enrichment, lessons are thoughtfully designed to meet each child at their academic level, ensuring every student is supported, challenged, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Outside of RME, Alli homeschools her 12-year-old son, Holden, and enjoys spending time with Marty, their two dogs, reading, crafting, gardening, camping, exploring Colorado, and relaxing in the state's beautiful hot springs
Mr. Marty is the co-owner of Rocky Mountain Enrichment. He and Ms. Alli are partners and parents to their son Holden. He & Alli came up with the idea to create RME after seeing the need for a homes school enrichment program to be inclusive and offer lessons at each students academic ability. He studied Sociology and Photography in college. He has been trained in the Montessori philosophy. He has worked in several Montessori classrooms. He loves spending time outdoors with Mia our Mini Aussie and Millie our Goldendoodle puppy.
Ms. Emma is the Operations Manager at Rocky Mountain Enrichment and the person working behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. From enrollment and billing to scheduling field trips and supporting families, she wears many hats to help make the RME experience seamless. A homeschooling mom to two wonderful children, Lilah and Arlo, Ms. Emma is passionate about individualized learning and supporting homeschool families. She has been with Rocky Mountain Enrichment since the very beginning and has worked in every classroom, building meaningful connections with students of all ages. Originally from Texas, Ms. Emma grew up in Evergreen, Colorado, before eventually settling in Colorado Springs. She recently moved back to Texas, where she continues working remotely for RME while homeschooling her children and enjoying life with her family, chickens, fruit trees, and garden. When she's not working, you'll find her crafting, caring for plants, or enjoying the outdoors. No matter where she is, Ms. Emma is always just a phone call or email away and is dedicated to helping RME families feel supported every step of the way.
Ms. Xochitl Silverman brings over 25 years of hands-on administrative expertise to Rocky Mountain Enrichment. Married for 12 years and proud mom to a fun-loving little boy, she and her husband also run one full-time and one part-time family business, so she knows the value of organization, creativity, and balancing many moving parts. Throughout her career, Xochitl has served as a principal’s assistant, preschool director, and grant-program manager for after-school initiatives. Most recently, she coordinated more than 120 volunteers for a nonprofit serving children from newborns through high school. Her passion for crafting clear systems and supporting teams makes her the perfect partner for Alli, Emma and the RME community. You’ll find Xochitl on-site every Wednesday, her son right alongside, delighting in the same rich, Montessori-inspired activities as his classmates. Ms. Allie is passionate about helping children learn through nature, exploration, and hands-on experiences. With years of experience working with children through education, outdoor learning, and enrichment programs, she loves creating opportunities for kids to get curious, get muddy, and discover the world around them. This is Allie’s second year at Rocky Mountain Enrichment, where she leads our Nature program. She enjoys creating engaging outdoor experiences that build confidence, problem-solving skills, resilience, and a lifelong appreciation for nature. Outside of RME, Allie is a homeschool mom of two and enjoys spending time with her family on their Colorado homestead, gardening, archery, and caring for their horses, chickens, and Kune Kune pigs.
Ms. Katrina grew up in Montana on the Salish, Kootenai, and Podera Reservation. She is Turtle Mountain Chippewa and Little Shell Chippewa. Over the years, she has lived in North Carolina, Alabama, Virginia, Kansas, and even spent four years in Germany. For the past seven years, Colorado has been home, and she loves living here. One thing she's certain of—she'll never live anywhere without mountains again! Katrina holds degrees in Psychology and Photography. For more than 20 years, she has worked with children in a variety of roles, building meaningful relationships and supporting their growth and development. She is also an entrepreneur and has owned several businesses, including a photography studio. Today, she co-owns a business with her daughter, creating and selling Native beadwork and ribbon skirts. Katrina is also the proud mother of three children. This is Katrina's second year at Rocky Mountain Enrichment, where she loves serving as the Lead Elementary Teacher. As someone who is neurodiverse herself, she is deeply passionate about creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where neurodiverse students feel safe, understood, and empowered to thrive. When she's not in the classroom, Katrina enjoys a wide variety of creative hobbies. She loves sewing, felt crafting, cake decorating, and photography. She also enjoys gaming and especially loves spending time playing Minecraft with her family on their shared server.
Ms. Shelby is a homeschool mom of two who loves helping students discover new interests and build confidence through hands-on learning. She has experience teaching preschool, elementary, and middle school, with a special passion for working with middle school students. Shelby especially enjoys teaching cooking and baking, where students can create something delicious while discovering the “why” behind it all. She loves exploring how things work, sharing fun facts, and helping kids see that learning can be exciting, practical, and full of surprises. Outside of the classroom, Shelby enjoys spending time with her family on their small hobby farm, caring for their animals, camping, hiking, riding ATVs, and enjoying the outdoors. She feels incredibly blessed to be part of the Rocky Mountain Enrichment community and looks forward to learning, laughing, and making lasting memories with her students each year.
Ms. Gena is a homeschool grandma with a background in early childhood education and a passion for helping children discover the joy and wonder of gardening. Her homeschool journey began when her daughter was struggling in public school, leading their family to make the switch to homeschooling. Watching her daughter gain confidence and thrive academically gave Gena a deep appreciation for the homeschool community. Gena is grateful to be part of a program that gives students opportunities to learn through hands-on experiences. She especially loves watching children get their hands dirty, plant a tiny seed, care for it, and experience the excitement of seeing it grow. Her goal is to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help each child discover the beauty and wonder of life both in the classroom and the greenhouse. Outside of RME, Gena enjoys spending time with her family, visiting the beach, and tending to her own garden. She is excited to learn, grow, and get a little messy with RME students this year!
Ms. Erica has called Colorado Springs home for the past 16 years after moving from Houston, Texas, to Ft. Carson as her family’s first and only duty station. They quickly fell in love with the mountains and decided to stay. Erica and her family have three children—Ayden, Mavis, and Maren—and have been homeschooling for four years. Erica has spent most of her life working with children, beginning as a babysitter at age 9. Her experience includes working in nurseries and after-school programs, coaching gymnastics and dance, and serving as a substitute teacher for three years. She has also volunteered at a horse therapy center and the Boys & Girls Club of America and currently co-leads Barefoot University. For the past four years, she has also been a Girl Scout leader and cookie mom. Erica loves spending time in nature and with animals, and her family has an impressive 15 pets! She truly enjoys guiding children in kindness, curiosity, and learning while growing and discovering right alongside them.
Ms. Nicole is a homeschooling mom of two elementary-aged kids. With a Masters Degree in education, Nicole spent seven years as a classroom teacher before stepping back to dive into homeschooling. She is passionate about tapping into children's interests to help create lifelong learners. Nicole and her family love to explore Colorado's beauty every chance they get- nature is their favorite classroom! Camping, hiking, and reading are her favorite ways to pass time. Mrs. Jenny was born in Clovis, New Mexico, and grew up in Colorado, where she has lived for more than 30 years. She is the proud mom of twins—a boy and a girl—who keep life fun and exciting. As an Army spouse, Mrs. Jenny had the opportunity to live in Wiesbaden, Germany, where she experienced a new culture and traveled throughout Europe, visiting Italy, France, Switzerland, and Austria. Those experiences gave her a love for adventure and making lasting memories. She has been part of the Rocky Mountain family for over six months and has loved every minute of helping children learn and grow. Her passion for working with kids began at a young age through babysitting, where she discovered how much she enjoyed helping children build confidence and succeed. When she's not at work, Mrs. Jenny enjoys camping, hiking, paddleboarding, riding her quad and RZR, creating diamond paintings, and playing on her Nintendo Switch 2. She also loves listening to country music and spending quality time with her family and friends. Mrs. Jenny is excited to continue making a positive impact and helping every child reach their full potential. She looks forward to getting to know each child and family and creating a welcoming, supportive, and fun learning environment.
Ms. Katie was born in California, where her lifelong love for nature began with family days spent swimming, boogie boarding, and building sandcastles at the beach. She later moved to the PNW, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington. In 2021, she and her family relocated to Colorado Springs to embrace an outdoor lifestyle closer to the mountains. Since making Colorado her home, one of her favorite hobbies has been learning the native wildflowers. She finds purpose in homeschooling her daughters, Evelyn and Emmy. This is her second year with Rocky Mountain Enrichment as a Nature Teacher Assistant. Exploring nature with children brings her joy, and she is passionate about helping them build confidence and resilience outdoors. In her free time she enjoys hiking with friends, camping with her family, relaxing with her pets, and working in her garden
Ms. Emily grew up in Michigan and moved to Colorado nearly ten years ago after falling in love with the mountains while working at a summer camp in Idaho Springs. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education with a minor in Early Childhood Development from Central Michigan University and has spent the past decade teaching in preschool, elementary, and special education settings. Emily is passionate about creating hands-on, play-based learning experiences that help children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Outside the classroom, she enjoys camping, creating mixed-media art, attending concerts, exploring Colorado with her dog, and hopes to visit every National Park in the United States.
Ms. Ashley was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. After earning her degree in Philosophy, she spent her career in the military and the defense industry. Along the way, she began homeschooling her two boys and discovered a love for education. Homeschooling showed Ashley just how rewarding it is to watch kids light up when they realize the world is bigger, more fascinating, and more connected than they ever imagined. She is excited to join Rocky Mountain Enrichment and hopes to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning in every student. Outside the classroom, Ashley loves traveling, hiking, and exploring new places with her family. She believes some of life's best lessons happen through adventure and experiencing the world firsthand.
